Lodge Governance

Governing Documents

The Lodge Bylaws lay the foundation of our lodge. The purpose of the bylaws is to define what the lodge is, which includes the name, our council affiliation, our chapters, and our governing body (the Lodge Executive Committee). The bylaws are very general and reference operating procedures that govern actual lodge activities and operations.

The Bylaws were last modified on March 8th, 2025.

The Lodge Operating Procedures (LOPs) define how the lodge runs. The foundation of the lodge has been laid out in the bylaws, so the operating procedures cover the more detailed information for how the lodge carries out its functions, including lodge officer elections, merchandise creation, chapter governance, the lodge executive committee, and lodge branding.

The Operating Procedures were last modified on January 26th, 2026.

Lodge Leadership Handbook

The Lodge Leadership Handbook (LLHB) contains both the bylaws and operating procedures, as well as general Order of the Arrow information, position descriptions for all lodge and chapter positions, and additional resources for use by lodge members.

The Lodge Leadership Handbook, unlike the bylaws and lodge operating procedures, does not require approval to modify. A new issue is created each year by the Lodge Chief and Vice Chief of Communications for use by lodge leaders to assist them in carrying out the duties of their position.

The Lodge Leadership Handbook was last modified on March 15th, 2026.
